This policy explains what hike.video collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. We keep it short because there isn't much to say — we collect as little as we can to run the service.
What we collect
- Order details. Your name, email address, and the fact that you bought an edit.
- The files you send us. Video clips, photos, and GPS tracks you upload for your edit.
- Basic usage data. Anonymous analytics about which pages get visited, via Google Analytics 4.
We do not collect payment card details. Payments are handled by our payment processor, and we only ever see a confirmation that a payment succeeded.
How we use it
- To produce and deliver your edit.
- To email you about your order.
- To understand which parts of this site are useful.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your footage to train anything.
Your footage stays yours
You keep all rights to the material you send us. We will never publish, share, or use your footage or your finished edit for promotion without your written permission.
Who else touches your data
We use a small number of third-party services to run this business: a payment processor, an email provider, a form provider for uploads, cloud storage, and Google Analytics. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
How long we keep it
We keep your source footage for 90 days after delivery so we can re-cut if you ask, then delete it. Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete your footage sooner at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send it to you in a portable format. Email us and we'll action it within 30 days.
Cookies
This site sets analytics cookies through Google Analytics. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers beyond the services listed above.
Children
This service is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top and, for anything significant, email active customers.
